Men suspected in multiple crimes

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Two men are arrested from a Thomas Co. burglary last Wednesday are being looked at for crimes in other counties.

Officials say Walter Eller and Brian Mobley burglarized several homes in Thomas County, Brooks County, Lowndes County, and Madison County, Florida.

Brooks county deputies found the car Mobley was using at a drug house and found more stolen property there and arrested Mobley in Brooks County.

Brooks and Thomas County investigators found Eller at his home and arrested him in Thomas County.   

But once Eller was arrested, he attempted to escape. "He was attempting to leave the building officers called out and asked him to come back to the investigations office he then took off running. Then officers ran him down over to the Cherokee projects," said Thomas County Investigator Tim Watkins.

Eller and Mobley are charged with burglaries in Thomas, Brooks, and Lowndes County. They will both face six counts of burglary in Thomas County.

Eller will receive an additional year for attempting to escape. He will also be charged in Madison County, Florida.
