ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A group usually affiliated with music wants to clean up their community.
Georgia Music Association hosted a rally called "A Call to Unity."
They plan to adopt a block near Slappey Boulevard and Broad Avenue.
The leader of the group says he plans to get rid of overgrown lawns that in order to beautify Albany.
"We're helping them to make that community cleaner safer because this is a thoroughfare into our downtown. I don't like what I see because I don't like what I see and I drive broad avenue from the railroad into town," said Henry Thomas.
Thomas says the group plans to clean up by Wednesday.
