ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Second Harvest of South Georgia is in need for some extra helping hands. With limited staff and many mouths to feed, they're asking for people to donate their time to help those in need.

Throughout the year, volunteers help fill pantry boxes. Each box weighs nearly 20 pounds and can feed a family of four for up to a week.

Chief Marketing Director Eliza McCall says every minute spent volunteering helps.

"When people think of donations, they only think of donating food and donating money," said McCall. "But in this case, what we need is for people to donate their time."
