Historic Powerball makes So. Georgian a millionaire

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

While the big winners in last night's historic Powerball drawing were in other states, Georgia now has two millionaires who matched five of the six winning numbers.

One is a Coffee County resident.

The Georgia Lottery ‏reported at 9:00AM that two Powerball tickets purchased in Atlanta and Douglas won $1 million each on Wednesday.

Coffee Police Scanner's Facebook page reports that the South Georgia winner is Timmy Miller. He was just two numbers off from winning the grand prize.

There were also 30 $50,000 Powerball winners in Georgia. The winning tickets were purchased in Alpharetta, Atlanta (2), Bremen,  Macon (2), Marietta, Peachtree City, Roswell, Sharpsburg, Suwanee, Tallapoosa, Temple, Thunderbolt, Trenton, Valdosta, Winder Brunswick, College Park, Dallas, Duluth, Eastman, Evans, Forsyth, Hampton (2), Hapeville, LaGrange, Lake Park, and Mableton.
