THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Thomas County investigators now believe the crooks who broke into a Dollar General store in Meigs this week, are serial burglars.
Law enforcement officers in other areas of South Georgia and North Florida told Thomas County investigators they're looking into similar crimes where burglars cutting tools to break into Dollar General stores and safes.
The county warned Thomasville police to boost patrols around Dollar Generals.
"The fact that they're able to enter these places target exactly what they're looking for and maneuver around and avoid detection from the alarm sensors...they know what they're doing so they fit the category of a professional burglar," said Thomasville Police Captain Maurice Holmes
