Three Moultrie residents arrested in Lowndes prostitution sting

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Undercover agents of the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office set up a 'date' with a suspected prostitute Tuesday night.

They arrested a Moultrie woman and two suspected 'pimps,' also from Moultrie.

Tomron Folsom, 24, arrived at the location where law men were waiting for the 'date,' and was arrested, after a struggle with deputies.

A man and a woman who came with Folsom, Demetreus Williams, 38, and Ada Slaughter, 31, were also arrested, after they tried to get away.

Investigators found a quantity of marijuana and Methamphetamine, which was packaged for sale or distribution. 

Williams was charged with Pimping, Possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and Obstruction. 

Slaughter was charged with Possession of marijuana and Pimping. 

Folsom  was charged with Prostitution and  Obstruction of an officer.

They were all taken to the Lowndes County Jail and will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court for an arraignment hearing this afternoon. 

"These arrests are part of our continued effort to combat the increasing problem of prostitution and illegal drugs that are often possessed by the prostitutes and Johns," Sheriff Chris Prine said.
