Someone could be waking up as the next billionaire January 14th and many in South Georgia are hoping that it is them.

The January 13th Powerball jackpot is currently set at $1.5 billion dollars and it is attracting a lot of new customers.
Woodall's assistant manager Tomeika Williams expects to be busy selling a lot of last minute tickets.

Williams says, "I have a lot of customers that have never bought for the lottery. So I'm having to explain actually how to play the Powerball and they're excited."

Powerball player Robert Gervin played last week's lottery and hopes to have better luck with this drawing. He says the large amount is definitely
an incentive to play.

"It's a mind boggling that a prize would get that large, but there's so many states that's involved now that you're going to continue
to have big pots like that," Gervin says.

The drawing will take place Wednesday, January 13th at 10:59 p.m.
