ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A Dougherty County father wants a school bus driver disciplined for dropping his son off at someone else's home.

Donovan Scott said that he was waiting for his 5-year-old son to return home from Saturday School at Radium Springs Elementary.

Scott said the bus driver dropped his son off at his grandmother's house because the 5-year old asked her to.

"What five year old tell the bus driver what to do and they listen to them? So I felt like that wasn't right," said Scott.

"So what we're doing is taking a look at the situation from our perspective and making sure all of our policies and procedures were followed and that our staff and employees acted appropriately," explained DCSS Spokesman J.D. Sumner.

Scott said that it took hours to figure out where his son was and to get him back home.

School officials said there are different drivers and shifts for Saturday School.

They said they'll take appropriate action depending on the outcome of the investigation.
