House to be headquarters to help sex trafficking victims

A downtown Albany house will soon become a place to help sex trafficking victims.

The home on Pine Avenue is currently being renovated.

The house of transformation will house three ministries, including "Out of Darkness", a ministry to help victims of sex trafficking.

Sonya Vinson, with Albany House of Prayer hopes it will be ready in the next six months.

She says she's surprised many people don't think sex trafficking happens in Albany.

“People I think don't really want to face the fact that it's right here in our community. I would be surprised at this point after ministering in this area, to find an area that does not have it," says Sonya Vinson, with the Albany House of Prayer.

The facility will also house Jericho Club and the Hope Box to help hungry and abandoned young people.
