ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A suspect who was shot during a home invasion is speaking out saying he's innocent. Police are investigating the case and before turning himself in, Demetrie Mosley wanted to speak with us.

Mosely says he wants to clear his name, and that he's innocent. He says he didn't break into the home, but was forced into the house after being shot and beaten. The 24-year-old is facing burglary charges.

"How y'all gone put me in jail," said Mosely" "And it ain't fair. And I'm the one that got shot. I got to sit in here with pain. And they shot me, and gunned me down. I ain't do nothing."

The home owner Arnetta Heath-Heard spoke with us by phone today, but did not want to do an interview. She says everything will workout.

Albany police say the case is still under investigation and they're glad Mosely turned himself in.
