ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An East Albany man is back home, recovering after being stabbed at least three times Wednesday night.

About 8:45PM, 40 year old Octavious Dixon told WALB he was walking home in the 300 block of Gaines Avenue, when four male teenagers jumped him, demanding money.

When he said he didn't have any, Dixon says they started kicking and stabbing him.

"I was trying to block the knife. I got my hand cut like that.  They stabbed and hit me here (in the neck) and hit me on my shoulder.  But I eventually got away," he said.

Dixon was taken to the hospital by ambulance and treated for several stab wounds.

Police say when they questioned him last night, Dixon said his sister attacked him-- with a kitchen knife.

Police say the investigation into the stabbing is continuing.
