NICHOLLS, GA (WALB) - About 9:30 Tuesday night, Brett Antoan Staten from Alma, was stopped by the Nicholls Police Department, who saw that his car registration was expired.
Officers saw a pack of cigarettes that had something more than cigarettes in it.
They called the Coffee County Drug Unit, and they found 0.2 grams of methamphetamine and 1.2 grams of marijuana . They also found white tablets which turned out to be a Schedule IV controlled substance, which was 350 milligrams of Carisoprodol.
Coffee County Sheriff Doyle Wooten says that Staten will be charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Schedule Four controlled substance, and Possession of Marijuana, less that ounce.
