DCSS hopes to hire 20 new bus drivers
The Dougherty County School System is hoping to hire about 20 new bus drivers this year.
On average, the system loses about 10 drivers a year because of retirements and relocations.
Transportation Director Kenneth Williams says they're looking for people to work full and part-time, as well as substitutes

“First and foremost we are looking for individuals who have a compassion for kids, who understands, and can relate to children, but who can also discipline as well,” says Transportation Director Kenneth Williams.

Drivers need a Commercial Drivers License. The school system may pay for the training if you don't have a CDL. Anyone interested can fill out an application at the schools website.
