TCI Powder Coatings expands to Americus

ELLAVILLE, GA (WALB) -

TCI Powder Coatings has announced the opening of a new office in Americus. The new office will function as corporate headquarters for the business and house the administrative, customer service, finance and information systems departments.

"This addition allows us to accommodate the steady growth of our business," said Doug Greene, President.  "In the near future we will be able to add laboratory and training facilities, as well as sample product preparation and light warehousing in the new facility.  This is part of a multi-year expansion strategy to improve our capabilities and provide innovative, premium solutions and service to our customers.  We are grateful to the Americus-Sumter Payroll Development Authority for the work they have done to make this new facility possible for TCI.  Having been part of this community for 28 years we are glad to be able to continue to grow here."

The company expects to open the office in February, 2016, with approximately 20 employees.  The facility is expected to accommodate up to 75 full time employees.

Barbara Grogan, Executive Director of the Payroll Development Authority, touts the importance of supporting the expansion of local and regional industries as critical to Sumter County’s economic development strategy.

"Growth of long-term companies such as TCI Powder Coatings is a great benefit to Sumter County, particularly their ability to hire locally from our existing workforce," she said. "The Development Authority has gladly partnered with TCI and will continue to support their expansion needs."

For 28 years, TCI has been manufacturing powder coatings and dedicating itself to developing superior thermoset powder coatings and providing unparalleled service to its customers.
