LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - Folks who were affected by flooding in the Lee County area can go to the Century Road Fire Station for free cleanup kits, supplied by the American Red Cross.
The fire station is located on US 19 South, between Century Road and Leesburg.
The kits contain bleach, brushes, mops, and brochures with tips on how to sanitizes surfaces that were contaminated with flood water.
The fire station is open from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
The Red Cross is focusing on the counties with the most flood damage, Dougherty, Lee, Mitchell, Baker, and Decatur.
Lee County Public works is focused on the worst roads in the county, primarily Creekside Drive, where it intersects Kinchafoonee Road and Knollwood Road.
They expect to have all the roads open and passable today.
