BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) -

Bainbridge Public Safety responded to a wreck around 8:30 p.m. with a Total Petroleum tanker and a pickup truck at the bypass on Shotwell St.

Following impact, the small truck became wedged under the tanker and was dragged several yards before both vehicles came to rest in the grass.

The tanker, loaded with a mix various fuels, developed a minor leak following the crash. Foam was applied to prevent the threat of a fire.

The driver of the pickup truck sustained minor injuries.

Cleanup will take hours, as the tanker will have to be fully drained before it can be moved off of the roadway. Shotwell Street and the bypass entrance at Motiva are blocked at this time.
