ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Trees are starting to pose a threat for residents in flood zones. A tree was found uprooted on Creekside Drive Friday morning.
Soft and wet soil on and around creeks can't hold big trees up when there's too much rain and wind. The combination of the two is a candidate for disaster to homes around the area.
Officials urge residents to to be on high alert and keep an eye out for leaning trees during the bad conditions.
