ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany State men's basketball team fell to Point University 76-62 Thursday afternoon.

This was the ninth straight loss for the golden Rams, and interim coach Michael Moore is actively trying to right the ship as his young squad enters conference play.

His team committed 18 turnovers in the loss, and Moore knows that's not conducive to winning.

"It's the timing of the turnovers," said Moore. "When we cut them down to 5 within 3 (minutes) we had 3 costly turnovers. One on the inbound play, and that kind of hurt us. I don't know what it is. Everybody else can shoot good in our own gym but we can't seem to put it in. Did you see how many of those went in and came out."

The Golden Rams men's and women's have a double-header at home against central state Saturday starting at 1 in the afternoon.
