ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Southwest Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross is seeking donations to help flood victims.

Red Cross officials said that when the flood waters recede, they'll take their emergency response vehicle into affected neighborhoods to hand out food and cleanup kits, but they need your help to get those supplies.

"Well the Red Cross needs financial assistance. These cleanup kits are expensive and we have to give them out, so if you want to help the families affected the best thing you can do is just make a financial donation to your local Red Cross Chapter," said the Southwest Ga. Chapter Director Lara Gill.

You can make a donation at the Red Cross website here or mail a check to 500 Pine Avenue, Albany, Ga. 31701.
