ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Several holes at the Flint River Golf Course are closed due to flooding by water from its namesake.
The 14th and 15th holes are completely under water due to the rising Flint River.
The golf course manager doesn't expect the flooding to create any lasting damage, and he plans to open the back nine back up after the water recedes.
"Well if it goes as planned, we'll be able to open it up anywhere from 3 to 5 days after Saturday. So we're looking at the latest next Friday," said Roy Snead, Golf Course Manager.
Snead says this is nothing compared to the 1994 and 1998 floods.
