COLQUITT CO., GA (WALB) - An investigation continues after a Christmas morning DUI arrest in Colquitt County.
A passerby noticed 30-year-old Clinton Proctor's wrecked pickup truck near the intersection of David Newton Road and Highway 37.
After deputies arrested him for drunk driving, they said that Proctor said his 4-year-old daughter was supposed to be with him.
They tracked down the grandparents who found the child safe at home.
Now deputies want to know if the child was left alone.
"We have just learned today that the child may have been left alone by themselves. We have now contacted the Department of Family and Children Services and we are now investigating that aspect of the case," said Lt. Randy Stephens with the Colquitt Co. Sheriff's Office.
Officials said Proctor could face additional charges based on the outcome of the Division of Family and Children Services investigation.
