LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

People are working to clean up part of Creekside Drive that was affected by flooding.

Tuesday afternoon Mike Ross was helping his friend Danny Holmes whose home had a foot and a half of water inside. ServePro came out Tuesday to help dry out the house.

Family members put out sandbags to try to stop the water from coming in, but that didn't help.

"This is my first time trying to help anybody in this. It's a bad thing when people get caught with this. It's like you... Seeing it on TV with the tornadoes and stuff, you don't know it until you experience it," said Ross.

Ross said that the drywall will have to be ripped out of the home and the furniture needs to dry out and be cleaned.

Holmes is currently living upstairs in the house.
