Flint River forecast increased

The national Weather Service has increased the flood warning for the Flint River. The national Weather Service has increased the flood warning for the Flint River.
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The forecast for the Flint River has increased from minor  severity to moderate severity.

At 7:30 p.m. the water level had reached 30.6 feet, which means that minor flooding is occurring but moderate flooding is forecast.

The forecast for the Flint was previously 30.5 feet, now officials predict it will rise to about 31 feet.

At the new forecast level, homes in the Highland Avenue and Lovers Lane near Chehaw could see some flooding in the area.
