THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Morehouse College's Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Program teamed up with the Thomasville Boys and Girls Club to teach students about abstinence.
Morehouse leaders spoke to students and parents at the Thomasville Hoop Fest. They want to help reduce teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases and increase academic performance.
"Games that will involve them to make choices, learning how to be responsible, how to say no, and doing it in a way which they engage in a dialogue and they are responsible when kids are in charge they respond," said Andre' Marria, Fidelity Manager for teen pregnancy prevention.
The program kicks off in July.You can register now at Thomasville city schools, The Boys and Girls Club and the Thomasville community resource center for free.
