ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Both Dougherty County and Albany Public works crews are making sandbags for homeowners to pick up if needed.
People can pick them up from the county at their workshop on Habersham Road near Newton Road.
Solomon Sanders was concerned by rising water near his home in the Southgate Sub-division and decided to stop by and pick up some sandbags.
"I'm one of those that is a product of the 1994 and 1998 flood. And I believe in being prepared," said Sanders.
Those sandbags will be available outside the Dougherty County public works gate. Officials ask you to limit your pickup to only 20 sandbags.
