ALBANY, GA (WALB) - There were lots of people getting a closer look at the Flint River in downtown Albany.
The Veterans' Park Ampitheater and Ray Charles Park were Popular viewing areas to see the fast flowing water.
The Carter Family came down to see the threatening water.
"I just hope it don't go no further," said Laketa Carter.
City officals had yellow tape to keep people at the street level. Albany Police officers were stationed there to make sure no one got too close to the water's edge.
