According to APD, 6 teenage males were smoking Spice near a holding pond Saturday afternoon when one of them, began having complications and ended up face down in the water.
Officials reported that EMS and Albany Police responded to a holding pond behind the Regency Apartments on Tompkins Avenue around 3 p.m.
Patrolman John Hoober arrived on the scene and removed 15-year-old Earnest Wilson from the water and started CPR.
EMS arrived on the scene and took Wilson to Phoebe, and he was listed in critical condition.
15-year-old Maurice Mack and 15-year-old Marquis Wesley who were also at the scene, were both transported to Phoebe North. 13-year-old Dontae Wesley along with two other unknown males were also there but did not receive medical attention.
Wilson was airlifted to a hospital in Atlanta around 6 p.m. Saturday.
