LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Just down the road from where folks were being rescued from their homes others were packing up and taking what they could from their homes.
One man we spoke with said he decided to grab as much of his belonging as he could. Mike Rouse remembers the flood of 98 and with the waters rising, he doesn't want to take a chance.
"In 98 it was 21.59 feet and we had a foot and a half inside the house so that's the determining factor of why we tried to get some stuff out," said Rouse.
Most residents in that neighborhood have already evacuated their homes.
