5 things you need to know about Southwest Georgia flooding

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

There have been many main headlines for the flood events of 2015.

1.) Water will continue to rise in southern Lee County for most of Saturday.

2.) There are no flood warnings for the Muckalee Creek.  It crested just below flood stage Friday at highway 195 north in Lee County.

3.) Several roads including Cypress Point Circle, sections of Creekside Drive and Uncle Jimmy Lane are closed.

4.) The National Weather Service now forecasts Flint River to crest between 34-36 feet on Wednesday.

5.) NWS forecasts Flint River to crest higher than 35 feet in Newton and 30 feet in Bainbridge sometime after Thursday.
