THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - More good news for a South Georgia family in need. After police officers surprised them with groceries, their Christmas continues to get a bit more merry.
Officials say after we aired the story of officers surprising Wanda Bryant's family, the Thomasville police department received donations from residents. They got gift cards and more groceries to give to the Bryant family.
"Ms. Bryant has been very excited about it she's been very thankful, that's what she expressed to me; just how thankful she is to have people to come to her aid during this time of year she's in need," said Major Hampton.
Officers say they are thankful the community was gracious enough to support the police department and Bryant's family.
