Liberty Tax assists with getting health coverage before deadline

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

If you haven't signed up for the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare, you still have time.

Liberty Tax was helping people sign up for health care coverage on Wednesday. 

If you don't sign up, you could face a penalty fine. 

"The penalty for not having ACA or health insurance coverage can  be up to $695 a person per adult and half of that for each child in your home, so you're looking at some pretty stiff penalties if you don't go ahead get some insurance," said Franchise Owner Becky Elder.

The deadline to sign up for ACA is January 31st.
