COFFEE CO., GA (WALB) - Coffee County authorities arrested several people for possession of drugs on Tuesday December 8th.
Authorities said that they conducted a probation search in the 500 block of Sessoms Street in Nicholls.
The search was conducted at the residence of James White who is on felony probation, while searching, two different types of pills were discovered.
White will be charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Authorities also conducted two traffic stops on the same day. One was on McNeal Drive and Peterson Ave because a driver wasn't wearing his seatbelt. The man was identified as Raymond Cato. The second was on Peterson Avenue, the driver was pulled over due to improper lane change. The driver was identified as Allen Brown. During the search of Brown's vehicle, officials discovered three bags of meth and a loaded Savage rifle.
Authorities said that Cato will be charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and Brown will be charged with possession of meth with the intent to distribute as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Later that day the Coffee County Sheriff's Office arrested Jessie Floyd for outstanding warrants. Due to the arrest, a small amount of methamphetamine was located on Floyd and he will be charged with possession of meth.
