Ashburn church to deliver holiday meals for families in need

ASHBURN, GA (WALB) -

Food and toys collected at an Ashburn Christmas Tree farm will go to help families in need.
People gathered at Trinity Baptist Church to box up items given as admission to the “Festival of Christmas Trees” at Carol Ray's Barn.
Cash donations will purchase bread, hams, and coats.
They collected enough items to help 10 families in Turner County.

"Love of God, love of community,” said Rev. Rodney Brown, Trinity Baptist Church. “Turner County is a small county. Most everybody knows everybody here. We just try to do it because we love the Lord and the Lord says that we're to give back when he's blessed us."

This is the first time Trinity Baptist Church has helped deliver the meals.
The families will get the items tomorrow.
