VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

A hospital is welcoming babies born during the week of Christmas with some special stockings.

The handmade creations are delivered each year by the Volunteer Auxiliary of South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, and made to fit newborn babies.

The first two babies to receive a Christmas stocking and crocheted Santa hat for 2015 are Brooks Henry Floyd, son of Brandon Floyd and Stacey Adams; and Carter Grant Register, son of Clint Register and Stacey Musgrove.

The hospital said the stockings are a tradition they are proud of and hope to continue for many years.
