ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Athens woman came to Albany Tuesday, hoping to get tips about a teenager wanted for shooting her son.
Teresa Clyde handed out flyers in front of the Law Enforcement Center downtown, asking people to help find 18 year old Frankie Newberry. He's wanted for aggravated assault in the December 5th shooting of 33-year-old Jamaal Clyde.
Investigators say Clyde was shot three times in the 800 block of Corn Avenue While leaving a party. His mother wants justice as he fights to recover.
"Once in the head. Once in the hip. One in the hand. My son is damaged for the rest of his life. My family is damaged. All of us are hurting behind this," she said.
Clyde said she talked with Albany Police Chief Michael Persley, and then continued handing out her flyers.
If you have any information about Frankie Newberry, she wants you to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
