THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Thomasville residents can continue to keep money in their pockets by not paying for property taxes in 2016.
The city has not charged home owners for property tax since 2012. Council members said they were happy the budget was approved so residents could continue to save money.
"No property taxes from citizens so again some citizens don't understand that its a great community to live in and we offer great services, great rates, and zero taxes," said Assistant City Manager Don Atkinson.
City council members said they are happy to have a city that can function without receiving property tax money from homeowners.
