Editorial: Congratulations Colquitt County Packers

We want to congratulate the Colquitt County Packers on winning a second straight state championship with another perfect season.

We agree with all of the Packer fans and their head coach that Colquitt County should be crowned national champions.

"I think our body of work speaks for itself. the state of Georgia has the toughest bracket this year of any bracket in 6A football across the country. and we just won it," said Coach Rush Propst

We also congratulate the Clinch County Panthers on winning the Class A Public Championship. The Panthers win over region rival Irwin County earned them their sixth state title in football.

Irwin County and Fitzgerald both have reasons to be proud in finishing as state runner-up in their respective classifications.

And we also want to congratulate Valwood for winning the GISA AAA state title. Their win over Deerfield Windsor earned the Valiants their second state championship in four seasons.

We also salute Deerfield Windsor for their great season to reach the state title game.
