MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - The City of Moultrie says it is losing their nine Sanitation employees at the end of the year.
Solid Waste Division workers were employed through a temporary employment agency.
The current agency can no longer provide Moultrie with workers because of insurance issues.
The city is now looking into other options to fill those positions.
We're exploring options to maybe hire some part-time people. We may go to full-time personnel. We may use some of our Public Works employees," said City Manager Mike Scott. "It may be a combination of all of the above until we get this ironed out."
Scott assured residents that trash will continue to be picked up as usual.
