Arrest made in Douglas recreation center murder

DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) -

On Wednesday, GBI agents and Coffee County investigators made an arrest for the death of 19-year-old Gabriel Douglas

22-year-old Allen Tucker was arrested and charged with one count of murder and 5 counts of aggravated assault and is being held in the Coffee County Jail.

On December 5th, the Coffee County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a shooting in the 3000 block of Highway 41 South in Douglas at the Just Jump For Kids Recreation Center .

When officials arrived they found Douglas suffering from a gunshot wound. Douglas was transported to the Coffee Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The Sheriff's Office requested the assistance from GBI with the murder investigation.

The investigation is still active and anyone with information pertaining to the investigation is encouraged to contact the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office at (912) 384-4227 or the GBI’s Douglas Regional Office at (912) 389-4103.
