VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Police are warning residents after two men were arrested and charged with burglarizing a woman's home.

It happened just after midnight Tuesday on East Alden Avenue when the victim heard someone trying to enter her home.

She looked outside and noticed several men in her yard, and called 911.

Valdosta Police were later able to pull over a car on Cypress Street and search it.

They found an Xbox game system that had been taken from the victim's home.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Demarcus Jackson and 18-year-old Elijah Davis and charged them with burglary.

They were taken to the Lowndes County Jail.

The victim was not injured, but reported knowing one of the offenders.

Police suggest that everyone be sure to lock all doors and windows, and not advertise what you may have inside your home (for example, leaving the box to your new 50” television out by the trash can)
