Arrest made in Blakely shooting

BLAKELY, GA (WALB) -

The Early County Sheriff's Office makes an arrest in a shooting in Blakely.

25-year-old Alonzo Timpson turned himself in.

Investigators say Timpson shot 37-year-old Derrick Lindsey four times in the 200 block of Mulberry Lane early Monday morning.

After speaking to him warrants were issued for aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, says Investigator Brent Alderman, with the Early County Sheriffs Office.

Lindsey is being treated at a hospital in Alabama and is expected to recover. Timpson made his first court appearance today.

Lindsey was transported to an Alabama hospital for treatment.

The sheriff's office believes they got into an argument over some money.
