ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

At the Albany YMCA the adult flag football league finished the playoffs this Sunday afternoon.

The six team league consisted of many former local high school football players, and they all battled it out to claim the title of best flag football squad in Albany.

After the dust settled, the "Lil Rascals" captured the championship with a second half comeback and claimed the elusive trophy.

Lead referee Al Watts enjoys helping run the competitive league.

"The guys have been working hard all season," said Watts. "And I just wanted to get a nice sized trophy so we can get it bigger and better next year so the guys can continue to play hard and give them something to look forward to."

"The chemistry on the team is good," said Nighthawks player Easton Glover. "Just like I said before we all played together and we just like to have fun. Nobody gets angry at each other and we seem to win a lot."

The Nighthawks fell to the Lil rascals in the championship. To join the next adult football league, contact Marc West at 229-436-0531.
