ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Drug agents said they arrested a man and seized nearly 4 pounds of marijuana and $8,000 in cash during a raid.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Team and the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit made the arrest Tuesday.
A.D.D.U. Commander Major Prurince Dice said he got a tip on a tan Honda Accord possibly traveling through Albany, and going to Lee County in possession of a large quantity of marijuana.
They arrested 33-year-old Medrith Jackson. Agents said he was a major drug supplier in the community.
Jackson was charged with purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of marijuana, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Agents also said more arrests were possible.
