ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Students gathered at Thronateeska Heritage Center tonight to unify through art.
More than 25 middle and high school students were there to show off their art work inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King.
The event was put on by the Renaissance Connection to encourage an interest in art among young people.
"Our mission at renaissance connection is to express the arts," said executive director, Femi Anderson. "And to tell people to love art, and I also connect that with the King celebration to also bring a sense of unity. So I want people to know that if we can unify through art, that's the best way to do it."
