ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A lot of families brought their 4-legged family members to the Albany Mall tonight to meet Santa Claus.

The annual Paws with Claus event gave dogs, and other pets, a chance to get their pictures taken with St. Nick and maybe tell him what they want for Christmas.

Folks who brought their pets out say it's a great holiday tradition.

"It's very important," said a father named Jason Shelley. "It's important for me to bond with her and just be a dad to her."

"I think everybody should bring their pets out and have a picture with Santa," said Lee County native Janice Peek. "I think it's a lot of fun."

If you missed tonight, Paws with Claus will be held again tomorrow and next Monday and Tuesday from 6 to 8.
