Four arrested for Meth in Miller County


Last Thursday, the GBI and the Pataula Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence of Connie Laverne McGinnis, AKA Connie Akridge, on Pirate Drive, in Colquitt.

The search warrant was the culmination of a two month investigation conducted by the Pataula DTF into the alleged distribution of Methamphetamine, also known by its street name “ICE,” by McGinnis.  

McGinnis was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine/Distribution of Methamphetamine, and three others were also taken into custody.

Clint LaWayne Rogers, AKA Wayne Rogers, 46, of Pirate Drive, Colquitt, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine

Becky Michelle Newman, 45, of McClendon Road, Colquitt, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine

Brittany Dakota Hoskins, 23, of Todd Road Colquitt, is charged with Bench Warrant (Failure to Appear)

The Sylvester and Thomasville offices’ of the GBI, the Colquitt Police Department, the Miller County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia State Patrol and the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office were also involved in the raid.
