TIFT CO., GA (WALB) -

Three arrests are made after a deadly shooting in Tifton nearly a week ago.
Now, family members are raising money for the victim's cousin who was wounded in the attack.

"The guy swung on my cousin for no reason and then the next thing you know gunshots,” said Gregory Lampkin, Victim.

That's what Gregory Lampkin remembers happened to Dexter Lampkin a week ago at a gathering near a relative's home on Wilton Avenue in Tifton.

"When the dude shot me I didn't know my cousin was shot or nothing only thing I know I was getting stomped out,” said Lampkin.

Friday, the GBI arrested Devontae Carter, charged with felony murder and aggravated assault. William Carter and Ralph Garmon are charged with false statements and writings in connection to the investigation.

"We followed up on information that we developed during the investigation and the information coupled with the evidence led to these arrests,” said Kim Baker, GBI Special Agent in Charge.

"I feel good because a lot of people say they were on the run,” said Lampkin.

Three men that the Lampkins knew, but Gregory isn't sure why they targeted him or his cousin.

"We weren't doing nothing but talking and having a good time,” said Lampkin. “That whole night they were staring over there at us and everything."

Lampkin was shot in the back, has a bruised right eye and has lost feeling on his right side.

"It damaged my nerves and I can't stand on my right side, so I can't really walk,” said Lampkin.

He's now dependent on his family who is raising money for his medication, doctor's appointments and therapy.
The GBI is still investigating a motive in the shooting.

Dexter Lampkin's funeral will be Saturday at 2:30 at Springfield Baptist Church in Tifton.
