ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A standing room only crowd enjoyed a performance at Dougherty High School Friday night.

The students were disappointed after not even a single adult showed up for the opening night of their comedy "Five Women Wearing the Same Dress" on Wednesday.

The drama teacher was overwhelmed by the support they got this time around.

"I'm just so touched. The community has been so amazing," said teacher Christen Taylor. "The school, all the people from the school system all the way through has just really come out and supported."

Taylor's phone rang off the hook after the story was brought to the community's attention. There was a social media campaign to get a good crowd.

Providence Church bought food for the actors. People in the community gave flowers and Mission Change donated snacks to sell during the production.
