TIFT CO., GA (WALB) - Investigators say they have three people in custody and charged in connection to the death of a man who was shot.
Agents said 20-year-old Devontae Carter was charged with felony murder and aggravated assault. 22-year-old William Carter and 49-year-old Ralph Garmon were charged with false statements and writings.
All three were booked into the Tift County Jail.
The shooting happened at a residence on Wilton Avenue just before 3 a.m. on Nov. 27.
According to a report, 28-year-old Dexter Lampkin was shot and killed. His cousin Gregory Lampkin was also shot, but survived.
Family said during a gathering in his yard, men with guns walked up and shot both men.
Meanwhile, family members of Gregory Lampkin have opened an account in hopes of helping pay for hospital bills.
Donations can be dropped off at the Ameris Bank at 127 First St. in Tifton with attention to Michelle Wilson.
