CRISP CO., GA (WALB) -

Santa Claus showed up at Crisp County High School tonight.

The school hosted its annual Cookies with Santa event.

There were fun activities to keep kids entertained while they waited for their one-on-one time with the big guy.

Student clubs helped organize the event took donations of toys or money for admission.

"We believe that it's very important for our students to have a good understanding of our civic responsibility," said event organizer Susan Fuller. "And so by allowing them to lead an event like this, hopefully as they grow and mature and become adults in our community to serve and give back to the community."

All the donations collected tonight will benefit local children in need this holiday season.
